Marriage Vows

PERSONAL PROMISES & LEGAL VOWS

Upon booking with Lifetime Ceremonies, you will be provided with many different samples of personal marriage promises that you and your partner may share with each other. Some promises are serious, some are lighthearted, and all are meaningful. Regardless whether you choose one of the samples given to you, or you write your own promises for each other, all vows shared must be respectful to your partner.

Your vows may be shared with each other before or during your ring exchange.

Here is an example of song lyrics chosen as a couple's wedding vows (these lyrics are from The Beatles' song, "When I'm 64"):

Partner A's Promises to Partner B:

When I get older losing my hair
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me
A Valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine?
If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door
Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four?

... Partner A: YES. I will.

Partner B's Promises to Partner A:

I could be handy, mending a fuse
When your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday morning go for a ride
Doing the garden
Digging the weeds
Who could ask for more?
Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four?

... Partner B: YES. I will.
